The relatively new disciplines of healthcare quality and patient safety have emerged as central to the development of good healthcare, and require acquisition of substantive knowledge and skills. The goal of these programs is to educate and develop leaders in quality improvement and patient safety.

Master of Science
  • 2-year, part-time degree program
  • Designed for clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals who wish to partake in a mentored capstone practicum to design and implement a quality or safety intervention 
Combined MD/MS
  • 2-year, part-time degree program
  • Designed for medical students who wish to acquire the knowledge and skills to become quality and safety clinician leaders
Faculty Development
  • 12-month, part-time program
  • Designed for faculty who wish to develop the educational tools, methods, and curricular approaches for integrating healthcare quality and patient safety into medical education
Certificate
  • 12-month, part-time program
  • Designed for healthcare professionals who want to acquire an in-depth overview of the fields of healthcare quality and patient safety

Scholarships 

We offer scholarship opportunities that will provide 50 percent of the tuition costs of the Master of Science degree.
