
|  NUPTHMS is located on Northwestern's downtown campus, located very close to the lake along Chicago's "Magnificent Mile", seen on the left with trees lit up for the holiday season. Students often take advantage of the lakeside locations for running and biking opportunites after class or during lunch. Many students choose to live in the neighborhood closest to school (Streeterville) for convenience, while others seek more affordable parts of town.

 The Chicago River is just a few blocks away from school.
|  The lakefront path offers great scenery and opportunity for exercise. To fulfill all fitness needs, students also have access to special rates at Holmes Place gym, just blocks from campus.

 Navy Pier's ferris wheel offers a view of the city.
|  Recently opened Millenium Park is within walking distance. Part of the expansive Chicago Park District, there are free concerts in the summer and an ice skating rink set up during the winter.

 The "bean" or Cloud's Gate has a slightly different view on the Chicago Skyline. This artwork is on display in Millenium Park.
|  Many major corporations have offices in downtown Chicago.

 A Chicago Tradition: each year on the weekend closest to St. Patrick's Day, the Chicago River is dyed green.
