Tibial Plateau Fracture
Fracture of the tibial plateau, also known as a “fender fracture,” occurs when the femoral condyle transmits force into the condyles of the tibial plateau. 60% involve the lateral plateau, 15% the medial plateau, and 25% are bicondylar.
