Charles Pearce, MD

Charles Pearce is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. After studying biology at Colby College, Charlie spent three years as a science and math instructor in Louisiana with Teach for America. He earned numerous awards as a medical student, including the Lifeline Student Fellowship for research in vascular surgery, the Hoyt merit scholarship, finalist consideration for the ACP award for best performance in junior medicine, and the Aspen Institute Health Forum Fellowship. In 2007, Charlie helpped found the internet startup company Keas, Inc., for which he serves as the medical program manager for Keas.com, a web-based, open-source health and wellness platform for patients and providers. His research in vascular surgery and related basic sciences has resulted in ten journal publications, including a first author study in Free Radical Biology and Medicine. Charlie will have completed his internship in general surgery (categorical) at Northwestern University in June 2010. He loves spending free time with his two young sons.
