Krista Brucker, MD

Krista Brucker is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was the recipient of the Paul Dudley White Traveling Fellowship. Before medical school, Krista lived in Los Angeles and volunteered as a community health educator with projects focused on breast cancer awareness and childhood obesity management and prevention. Krista also spent over a year in Roatan, Honduras, volunteering as a clinical assistant, a medical interpreter, and an English teacher at a local orphanage. During medical school, Krista was funded to return to Honduras to conduct health services research at Clinica Esperanza. She was the recipient of the 2009 DePauw University Alumni Community Service Award. Krista served as a student representative on the Faculty International Committee at Harvard Medical School, was employed as a research assistant at a biomedical engineering firm, and was first author of two research poster presentations. She enjoys figure skating and studying Honduran history.
