Lauren Pierce was a Silver Medalist in Synchronized Skating at the 1998 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, as well as a Bronze Medalist in Synchronized Skating for Team USA at the 2000 World Championships in Switzerland. She is a member of the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University and completed elective coursework in public policy at the Kellogg School of Management. Lauren has been Co-President of the Emergency Medicine Interest Group and participated in pulmonary embolism research that was presented at the 2006 SAEM Annual Meeting. She served as the Fundraising Chair, External Liaison, and an Executive Board Member for GlobeMed, an organization that raises money for HIV clinics in Africa. Lauren was a Board Member for New Life Volunteering Society and a member of the Feinberg School of Medicine Admissions Committee.
