Patrick Coleman has excelled both inside and outside the classroom.  As an undergrad, Patrick obtained EMT B certification and was a member of Georgetown’s Emergency Medical Response Service. He became an instructor and dissector in the Dept. of Anatomy and taught in the graduate program at Georgetown School of Nursing. During medical school he participated in research projects that evaluated the effects of acupuncture on fibromyalgia patients as well as the development of rapid RBS detection in subarachnoid hemorrhage using bedside reagent strips. The latter was presented at the 2005 ACEP Scientific Assembly. He is a second degree black belt in Kung Fu, competes yearly in an IronMed Triathlon that raises money for a bone marrow transplant fund, and has completed the Vermont City Marathon.
