Dr. Patrick Lank
Research Fellowship, Master's of Science in Epidemology and Biostatistics

Residency: Northwestern University Class of 2010
Dr. Lank was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University with majors in History of Science and Medicine as well as Molecular Biophyics and Biochemistry. He attended medical school in the Bronx at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During his residency in emergency medicine at Northwestern University, he developed interests in medical toxicology and epidemiology. While a research fellow in this upcoming year, he will be completing a Master's of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Northwestern University. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing tennis, and singing.

Dr. Danielle McCarthy
Health Services Fellowship, Northwestern Institute for Healthcare Studies
Medical School: Northwestern University,The Feinberg School of Medicine
Residency: Northwestern University Class of 2010
Dr. McCarthy was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Harvard University, where she was Captain of the Women's Water Polo Team, and from Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine with AOA honors. She completed residency in emergency medicine and served as chief resident at Northwestern University. She will serve as a fellow in the Health Services Research Fellowship through the Institute for Healthcare Studies at the Feinberg School of Medicine during the 2010-2012 academic years. The fellowship is funded by a National Research T32 Service Award (NRSA). Her academic interests include optimizing communication with patients, health literacy, and patient safety.
