What about getting my computer set up---including e-mail and obtaining my NetID?
When you arrive on campus, you will get detailed information about what you need to do
to get your computer ready to use. For now, you may want to review Northwestern University Information Technology's “Getting Connected 2006.” It is available at:
http://www.itnorthwestern.edu/bin/news/2006.pdf . It details:
· The type of computer equipment you will need
· Your netID
· E-mail account
· Security
· Connecting from off-campus
· Policy information
Your NetID was sent to you by e-mail in the last several weeks and is typically a code of three letters and three numbers. (Note: You must change your NetID password every 120 days.) You also received an authentication password. If you need a new password for any reason, you may contact technical personnel in the Weinberg Medical Informatics Training Center (WMITC) at 312/503-4357.

Computer Set-Up
If you want to go ahead and set up your computer, you may follow the five basic steps that are presented with detailed links at:

Listserv Services
The medical school operates an electronic mailing list service or “listserv” for each class, each college, and the entire student body. Listservs were established to transmit official announcements regarding classes, professional events, student organization activities, and other related information. Students and faculty members may post relevant messages, which should be brief.

What is the M1 academic calendar for 2006--2007?
