Housing

How do I find a place to live?
Visit the Housing information page on the Student Programs site for more info.

How do I get an early release from an apartment lease or on-campus housing contract?
Your apartment lease is a legal contract between you and the apartment property manager, landlord or on-campus housing office. Early termination of your housing contract may impose certain penalties such as the withholding of your security deposit and/or a poor reference. Also moving out does not automatically free you from the financial obligation of your lease until it expires. You should review the terms of your leasing contract and discuss your options with your property manager, landlord, or on-campus housing office to negotiate an alternative agreement. If your reason for terminating your lease is due to uninhabitable conditions, an exception may be made by the property manager, landlord or on-campus housing office to terminate the lease without penalty or legal action.
