Cameron Bobos
Year In DPT Program: 1st
Hometown: Griffith, Indiana
- Undergrad institution: Valparaiso University
- Hobbies: Working out, singing, musical theatre, and trying out new restaurants!
- PT area of interest: Not entirely sure, but at the moment I am most interested in ortho or pediatrics!
- Fun fact: I am a former Team USA competitive cup stacker!
- Why you chose NU DPT: I could immediately sense the amount of respect the institution and faculty had for the profession, and I felt it was the best place for me to become the most competent future clinician. The proximity to home and location in a great city is a plus!

Nicholas Buto
Year In DPT Program: 2nd
Hometown: Honolulu, Hawai`i
- Undergrad Institution: Chapman University in Orange, California
- Hobbies: I enjoy running, playing basketball and football, and hiking.
- PT Area of Interest: I am undecided but interested in orthopedics, sports, and pediatrics.
- Fun Fact: I have never seen snowfall.
- Why I chose NU DPT: I chose Northwestern because of the large and diverse class, the incredible resources and hospitals, the outstanding faculty and staff, and the unique challenges and experiences I would face living in a big city like Chicago.

Brenna Deasy

- Undergrad institution: University of California, San Diego
- Hobbies: I enjoy exploring the city, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and hiking.
- PT area of interest:I have an interest in Pelvic Health and ortho, but I am open to any setting
- Fun fact: I have a black belt in karate.
- Why you chose NU DPT: I chose NU DPT because I felt so welcomed and supported by the faculty, and the opportunity to pursue my Masters in Public Health in the DPT-MPH dual degree program.

Raina Foreman
Year In DPT Program: 1st
Hometown: Evanston, Illinois
- Undergrad institution: Washington University in St. Louis
- Hobbies: Baking, crocheting, weight lifting, trying new restaurants in the city, and spending time with my dog.
- PT area of interest: I am interested in geriatric and neurological PT and hope to work with individuals with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s Disease or Multiple Sclerosis.
- Fun Fact: I am the youngest of four siblings and all of our names start with the letter R.
- Why you chose NU DPT: I chose NUPT because I was excited by all of the opportunities offered by NUPT and the resources available to students during and after our time in the program. I was also drawn to Northwestern’s emphasis on research and the opportunity for students to get involved in labs and studies.

Michelle Hunt

- Undergrad institution: North Carolina State University
- Hobbies: Running, scuba diving, watching movies, reading, scrapbooking, and outdoor adventures.
- PT area of interest: Neurology, but I am keeping an open mind.
- Fun fact: I have a never ending Chicago Bucket list of all the things I want to do before I graduate.
- Why you chose NU DPT: The diversity (student body & faculty), MPH dual degree program and the location.

Ashley Jung

Hometown: Torrance, California
- Undergrad Institution: University of Michigan
- Hobbies: I enjoy Pilates, yoga, cooking, baking, going to cafes, and watching college football and basketball.
- PT Area of Interest: I am most interested in neuro and orthopedics at the moment, but I am open to learning about other specialties.
- Fun Fact: I have a pet parrot.
- Why I chose NU DPT: I chose NUPT for the overwhelming support and unique culture I felt from the faculty as well as the diverse local opportunities I could be a part of during and after my time at Northwestern.

- Undergrad Institution: University of Oregon
- Hobbies: Skiing, cooking, exploring eew places in Chicago.
- PT Area of Interest: Acute, but open.
- Fun Fact: I moved to Chicago in 2019 for a job and didn't know anyone in the city. So, I moved to a co-living house in Logan Square with 15 roommates from all over the world and lived there for almost two years.
- Why I chose NUDPT: The very supportive faculty and the opportunity to meet a large group of diverse classmates.

Peter McManus
Year In DPT Program: 3rd
Hometown: Akron, Ohio
- Undergrad institution: Denison University
- Hobbies: I enjoy playing soccer, visiting national parks, playing board games, completing puzzles and staring at maps (I love all things geography).
- PT area of interest: Undecided but leaning towards acute or neuro.
- Fun fact: I have a lordship in Scotland.
- Why you chose NU DPT: The resources and faculty that Northwestern has are outstanding, along with the research opportunities available to students were the main factors in my decision to come to Northwestern.

Osayama Omoruyi

Hometown: Long Beach, California
- Undergrad Institution: California State University, Sacramento
- Hobbies: Cooking, watching movies, cleaning, learning and exploring new experiences, and traveling.
- PT area of interest: geriatrics, or sports medicine, but I am still exploring throughout my learning journey.
- Fun fact: I speak a second language, which is a Nigerian language called “Yoruba”.
- Why I chose NU DPT: The resources Northwestern University provides for their DPT students is what drawn me the most. Furthermore, the dual degree program with DPT/MPH also solidified my choice.

Eleni Papastratakos

- Undergrad institution: University of Dayton
- Hobbies: Hiking, reading, outdoor activities, and sports!
- PT area of interest: Inpatient neurology, but keeping an open mind!
- Fun fact: I love cooking and I make my own pickles!
- Why I chose NU DPT: I chose NU DPT because of the endless, unique opportunities that NU presents! All of our faculty either currently are practicing PT’s or used to be practicing PT’s, we work with clinicians at neighboring hospitals every day, the large class size allows for great discussions from multiple perspectives, the opportunity to be involved in the newest innovative research, the large alumni network, and being in the city of Chicago!

- Fun Fact: I played Division I volleyball for four years at Oakland University.
- Why you chose NU DPT: I chose NU DPT for the incredible faculty, widespread connections in the Chicago area and across the country, and the diversity of life experiences that comes with a large class size.

Miller Tennant

Hometown: Nashville, Tennessee
- Undergrad Institution: Loyola University Chicago
- Hobbies: I love dancing, biking, binging TV shows, cooking, and reading!
- PT Area of Interest: Performing Arts, Pediatrics, Pelvic Health & Neurology (especially interested in Multiple Sclerosis)
- Fun Fact: I have been to all 50 states! I’m happy to give any recommendations :)
- Why I chose NU DPT: Northwestern is located at the heart of downtown Chicago. I was drawn to the big city life (with access to nature - aka Lake Michigan and the Lakefront trail), where the city's culture supports its healthcare professionals. I especially love Chicago’s culture of food, music, sports, and arts. Additionally, Northwestern was proactive in making me feel wanted, heard, and supported in my graduate pursuits. Since starting my 1st year at NU, I have been surrounded by genuine compassion and support from the faculty and peers. NU reminded me of my purpose to help and serve others through healthcare!
