Jaehyuk Choi, MD, PhD

Jaehyuk Choi, MD, PhD is MSTP associate director and chair of the admissions committee. In this role, Choi works to ensure a fair, holistic and comprehensive evaluation of the talented and diverse group of candidates who apply for admission to our program. He is closely involved with all aspects of the admissions process and also works closely with the student-led admissions task force to implement new policies and procedures to ensure the process remains equitable and accessible to all applicants.

Choi is a physician-scientist who received his MD and PhD from Yale University in 2006. He completed his residency in dermatology at Yale University in 2010 and his postdoctoral fellowship in genetics at Yale University in 2012. 

Choi is a dedicated mentor to physician-scientists in training, and he serves as an adviser to many MSTP students as they explore shadowing and other clinical exposure opportunities at Northwestern.
