On October 28, 2021, Northwestern University leadership joined Ann Lurie and other longstanding donors and friends for a special dinner commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University naming and dedication.

During the event, Eric G. Neilson, MD, vice president for Medical Affairs and Lewis Landsberg Dean at the Feinberg School of Medicine, surprised Ms. Lurie with exciting news: the establishment of the Ann Lurie Professorship in Oncology, an endowed professorship at Feinberg that will honor Ms. Lurie and her tremendous generosity to Lurie Cancer Center and patients with cancer and their families worldwide. The recipient of the new professorship will be named in the future.
