The Augusta Webster, MD, Office of Medical Education (AWOME) welcomes you to the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg). AWOME, a division of the Dean’s Office, is dedicated to the academic, personal and professional development of Feinberg medical students.

Competencies

Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine adopted a competency-based framework in 2009, explicitly defining the educational expectations, goals, and assessment standards for students. These competencies help develop the patient-care and leadership skills needed by today's physicians.
