| Andor Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope and TIRF | ||||
This instrument was acquired with the support of an S10 Shared Instrumentation Grant S10RR031680-01 from the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR), awarded to Dr. Vladimir Gelfand (Cell & Molecular Biology). The instrument is equipped with a galvo-controlled photomanipulation laser for photobleaching, photoactivation and photoconversion. The confocal is fitted on a Nikon Ti2000 Perfect focus stand with automated X-Y stage. It is also capable of performing multi-color TIRF imaging. For further information, please click on this link. |
| Perkin Elmer IVIS Spectrum In vivo Imager | ||||
The IVIS Spectrum system was originally distributed by Caliper Sciences. It is installed in room B307 at the Lurie Vivarium, and acquired with the financial support of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. The system allows users to combine fluorescence and bioluminesence in whole animal non-invasive in vivo imaging. Please click here for more detailed information. |
| Nikon A1R laser scanning multispectral confocal microscope | ||||
This latest addition to our family of laser scanning confocal microscopes has been acquired with the generous support of the Northwerstern University Office for Research, and with partial cost share by the medical school. This new system (scheduled to arrive in February 2012) is equipped with high-speed resonant scanner for rapid live cell microscopy. It will be fitted on Nikon PerfectFocus stand with automated X-Y stage for image stitching. Please watch this link for futher update |
