The Children's Memorial Hospital residency and fellowship programs administered through the Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center are some of the most competitive in the country. The ACGME accredited pediatric anesthesiology fellowship offered at Children's Memorial Hospital is an individually designed mixture of clinical, academic, and research experiences. The American Board of Anesthesiology has now approved board certification in pediatric anesthesiology and in the future, will require completion of an ACGME accredited pediatric anesthesiology fellowship for pediatric board-eligibility.
The Northwestern Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship accepts seven fellows each year and participates in the NRMP Pediatric Anesthesiology Match process.
Children’s Memorial Hospital is the region's top provider of pediatric specialty care, dedicated to the health and well being of all children and inspired by the courage of children and families. In June of 2012, Children's will make the exciting transition into a new, state-of-the-art facility - Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago - to provide highly specialized care for children in a family-centered environment. The facility will include the latest innovations in medical care and technology, enhanced clinical programs, advanced research directly affecting children and family amenities.
