Welcome to the Department of Anesthesiology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine (NUFSM). Our Department offers outstanding advanced and categorical residency training programs. Our residents gain clinical experience at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the new Prentice Women's Hospital, and Children's Memorial Hospital. We are delighted that Children’s Memorial Hospital will be relocating from its current Lincoln Park location 3 miles northwest of NUFSM to next door to Prentice Women’s Hospital in June 2012. I am proud to be a part of a team of dedicated physicians and educators who have built a premier anesthesia training program at Northwestern University. The ASA endorsed the Northwestern Center for Clinical Simulation to provide simulation courses to ABA Diplomates in order to satisy the Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement requirement for MOCA®.
The Northwestern Center for Clinical Simulation (NCCS) is an endorsed program of the American Society of Anesthesiologists' Simulation Education Network.

The Department of Anesthesiology joins 17 other medical centers as being among the first to receive this endorsement. The NCCS will offer simulation training for American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Diplomates seeking to satisfy ABA requirements for Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®).
