Match ServicesThe "Match" refers to the process by which the students and the program directors rank lists that are overlapped, resulting in the selection of students for residency positions. Most students and other applicants secure positions through a "matching program." The following organizations coordinate residency matches: National Residency Matching Program (NRMP)You will need to register with the NRMP for the main match by using your AAMC ID and password by visiting their Web site at http://www.nrmp.org/. Registration is and Applicant Use guide will be available on August 15. The deadline for registering for the NRMP is November 30, 2008. You may register after this deadline by paying an additional $50. What you need to do:- Register

What Student Programs and Professional Development will do for you:- Validate status
- Notify you of match results on Match Day
- If you do not match: In conjunction with your advisors, we will work with you to find a position in an unfilled program

Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS)http://www.carms.ca/jsp/main.jsp Please check the CaRMS Web site for matching information Military (Air Force, Army, Navy)Please check service for matching information. Students who match into military programs must notify Student Programs and Professional Development immediately of the program name, specialty, location, and military service branch of their match. In addition, these students must fill out a formal withdrawal from the NRMP before February 25, 2009. NOTE: Students seeking positions in the Early Match Specialties may be required to select a first year position in the NRMP. |
