PM&R Grading and Evaluation

Performance Evaluation Systems - Grades

1. This clerkship is graded as Honors/High Pass/Pass/Fail.
2. Clinical evaluation by the inpatient attending and resident will constitute 50% of the grade.
3. Performance on the final written examination will constitute 20% of the grade.
4. Performance on the musculoskeletal physical examination skills testing will constitute 10% of the grade.
5. Performance and completion of the individualized passport will constitute 20% of the grade.
6. When the above scores have been compiled, Pass will be assigned to scores 60-80%, High pass to scores 80-85%, Honors to scores 85-100% and fail to those scores below 60%.
7. Regardless of score, remediation may be required for particularly poor performance in an individual area or for professionalism issues alone.
