Neurology Clerkship Required Reading

The required textbooks are Introduction to Clinical Neurology by Douglas Gelb (third edition) and High Yield Neuroanatomy by James D. Fix (Lippincott). An alternative book which you may read is "Neurology For The Non-Neurologist", by William J. Weiner and Christopher Goetz. These books can be purchased from the bookstore in Abbott Hall or order online. Another textbook which may be helpful during your rotation, but is not required, is “Neurological Examination Made Easy” by Geraint Fuller.

High Yield Neuroanatomy reviews neuroanatomy very well. The textbook by Gelb teaches you the approach to neurological disorders. In addition, you are strongly encouraged to read the individual chapters (eg. stroke, epilepsy) in Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine.
