Financial Aid

Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine has a competitive financial aid program that includes need-based grants and federally funded student loan programs. A number of merit scholarship awards are also available. All grant and scholarship awards are distributed over four years therefore they are only awarded to incoming students at time of admission. All applicants who apply for admission are considered for merit awards. Students who wish to be considered for need-based grants and loans are advised to submit their financial aid application materials by the specified deadlines as listed under the application information tab (located on the left hand navigation on this page). Please note, there is not a separate application for merit scholarships or need based grant awards. All applicants invited for interview may apply for assistance; however, individual award notices are generated only for accepted students. Award notices for the incoming class are usually emailed at the beginning of April, assuming the student has met the application submission deadline.

All financial assistance is administered by the Chicago Office of Financial Aid; however you may consult with Cynthia Gonzalez at Feinberg School of Medicine, Office of Medical Education for information about our financial aid programs. You can reach her at cgonzalez@northwestern.edu or phone her at 312 503 1923.
