Description: The New York Academy of Medicine invites entries for its annual essay prize to be awarded to the best unpublished essay. Essays should address the history of public health or medicine as they relate to public health issues; social or environmental factors in the health of urban populations, institutional histories or specific disease may be considered. Eligibility: Open to all medical students Award Amount: Cash prize up to $500, and the winning essay will receive review for possible publication in the Journal of Urban Health.
