Description:  The Gold Foundation will award up to 25 research fellowships for research in community health and cultural competency issues, rather than laboratory work.  Ten service fellowships will also be awarded to fund service projects that address a public health need in an underserved community or population. The Gold Foundation's goal is to provide an opportunity for students to work directly with patients and to become more compassionate, relationship-centered physicians.
