Description: Provides opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished new Americans to achieve leadership in chosen fields. Selected fellows are individuals who retain loyalty to their country origin as well as the United States, who will continue to regard the United States as their principal residence and focus of national identity. About 30 fellows are awarded each year. Eligibility: Open to M-1s, M-2s, and M-3s in a combined degree program. Student must be a resident alien (green card holder), naturalized U.S. citizen, or the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens. Not older than 30 years of age as of November 1st, 2006 Award Amount: Maintenance grant of $20,000 and tuition grant of one-half the tuition cost of the U.S. program attended by the fellow.
