American Association of University Women - Selected Professions Fellowships

Description:  The Selected Professions Group Fellowship was created to support ethnic minority women who intend to pursue a full-time course of study at an accredited institution during the fellowship year in medicine where women's participation traditionally has been low. 

Eligibility: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, ethnic minority female (African American, Mexican American, Puerto Rican, and other Hispanics, Native American/Alaskan Native, and Asian Americans/Pacific Islander) who will have completed her third or final year of study by June 30th.  

Award Amount: Stipend ranges between $5,000 to $12,000

Duration/Location of Program:  12 consecutive months/ student’s academic institution
