How to Apply for the Transplant Surgery Scientist Training Program Grant (T32)

Currently accepting applications for our three positions on the 2021-2023 award cycle.  

Application packets will be reviewed by the program directors and applicants will be contacted.  Our faculty will initiate project discussions and mentor pairing.  For consideration please send the materials listed below by e-mail to the CTC CTC@northwestern.edu

 

Application Packet

Please send:

1)  Application Cover Page

2)  Biosketch / CV of applicant, including publications

3)  Career Goals Summary:  Description of how the research project relates to the candidate’s career goals and to advancing the field of Transplant Surgery and/or gastrointestinal transplant-related research. (1 page maximum)

4)  Letter(s) of Support:  Current Fellowship/Residency Program Director or PhD Thesis Adviser with the option of up to two additional letters from a clinical or research mentor(s) who is well acquainted with the trainee.

 

Interview Packet

Determination of grant trainees will be made during Executive Committee meetings where applicants will be asked to present their research proposals.

1)  Interview Packet Cover Page: Should include trainee’s name, adviser’s name, trainee’s graduate program and/or department, and the project title.

2)  Research Plan:  One page description of the trainee’s research project as it relates to transplantation.

3)  Career Goals Summary:  Description of how the research project relates to the candidate’s career goals and to advancing the field of Transplant Surgery and transplant-related research.  (1 page maximum)

4)  Biosketch / CV of applicant and research adviser(s), including publications.

5)  Letter(s) of Support:  Current Fellowship/Residency Program Director or PhD Thesis Adviser with the option of up to two additional letters from a clinical or research mentor(s) who is well acquainted with the trainee.

6)  Presentation of research project
