The Feinberg Office of Diversity & Inclusion, in collaboration with the Staff Engagement Committee, has announced the launch of a new Sustained Dialogue program exclusively for Feinberg full-time exempt and non-exempt staff
Sustained Dialogue creates a safe and learning space to engage in dialogue of difficult topics by focusing on active listening, among other skills. A key tenet of Sustained Dialogue is recognizing others’ experiences, changing the tone from one of disagreement to one where individuals are comfortable sharing. During this inaugural program for 2020, moderators from the Sustained Dialogue Institute will lead seven virtual dialogue sessions with a group of Feinberg staff members in the fall of 2020. Upon completion of the program, staff participants will develop an action plan to help enact meaningful change at Feinberg. The topic of focus for this inaugural group will be race and racism.
