Northwestern Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences faculty member, Amee L. Seitz, PhD, PT, represented the APTA at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons workgroup on the Management of Rotator Cuff Injuries Clinical Practice Guideline meeting this past weekend. She was one of 15 stakeholder clinicians invited to participate in the workgroup that consisted of orthopaedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians. The workgroup met last year to develop the clinical questions which were systematically evaluated with existing evidence by AAOS staff. At the final meeting this weekend, this evidence was reviewed and used to write recommendations on the best clinical management of rotator cuff tears. Look for these to be published in the next 4-6 months!
