The Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine invites applicants for a full-time, 12-month appointment in a non-tenure track position for a qualified candidate with expertise in cardiopulmonary assessment and intervention and exercise science/exercise physiology. Ideal applicants will hold a physical therapy degree, an academic doctorate and Cardiopulmonary Clinical Specialization or a strong clinical background. Credentials indicating ability to perform maximal exercise tests is highly desirable. Applicants should demonstrate a record of clinical and academic teaching/research and interest in developing a research program in cardiopulmonary or exercise physiology. Illinois state physical therapy licensure or eligibility is required.
Teaching responsibilities will involve team-teaching and directing courses e.g. physiology and cardiopulmonary courses in our entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum. The position also includes student advising, scholarship, and service on departmental committees. Depending on the experience and background of the applicant, this position is being offered at the Assistant/Associate professor level. Salary is negotiable.
