Alan Peaceman, MD

Alan Peaceman, MD, is a professor and chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He has been active in clinical research involving medical students, residents and fellows at Northwestern for more than two decades. His research interests include clinical trials and secondary analyses of data to examine the day-to-day issues in obstetric practice, including management of labor, preeclampsia and preterm birth. He is currently the alternate-principal investigator for Northwestern in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network, as well as principal investigator for the MOM-FIT trial, which works with overweight and obese patients to optimize weight gain during pregnancy.
