Application Process
Applications for the 2019-2020 fellowship will be accepted from July 1, 2018 through July 31, 2018 through the Central Application System (CAS) on SF Match.
Applicants need to register with the CAS (Central Application Service) for Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (formerly Procedural Dermatology) and designate one of the recipients to be the Northwestern University/Dr. Alam fellowship. Please note that this one-year fellowship also meets requirements for the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery’s Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship, and an additional certificate is awarded upon completion.
ADDITIONAL APPLICATION MATERIALS:
In addition to the CAS document requirements, we would like to know how you are planning to contribute to the specialty after completion of your fellowship. Some possibilities include humanitarian activities or public health initiatives; clinical or translational research, or other creative intellectual work; teaching and mentoring; government or public sector work; or leadership within the profession.
Please submit a brief essay (as brief as a short paragraph but no longer than a page) describing your idea for contribution and email this to dermresidency@nm.org with the subject line “MSDO Fellowship Application Essay”. This must be submitted by Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
