Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. We are committed to finding answers and shaping policies around food allergies and asthma, and we have made findings on the prevalence of pediatric and adult food allergy in the United States, characterized the economic impact of food allergy, and identified disparities in access to care and outcomes among food allergy and asthma patients. We are driven to use scientific research to reduce the burden of these diseases and improve health equity, develop, evaluate, and disseminate interventions and conduct work to inform local, national, and international health policy.

Senior Research Study Coordinator – CANDO Study Coach (Job ID 46973)
We are seeking to hire a Senior Research Study Coordinator to support the Childhood Activities Nutrition and Development Oversight (CAN DO) Study, a randomized control trial which aims to explore early infant introduction of peanut and other common food allergens (egg, wheat, cashew, and walnut) in the US and the impact of early introduction on food allergy development between ages 1-3. Over 1,500 infants will be enrolled from diverse pediatric practices in Chicago. The successful candidate will join a mission-driven, collaborative research team within a dynamic research environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in biology or other health-related field/major, superb customer service skills, excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a passion for using scientific research to find answers and improve lives. Research Study Assistant – IREACH (Job ID 47821)
We are seeking to hire a Research Study Assistant to support two research projects. One is the Intervention to Reduce Early Peanut Allergy in Children (IREACH) Study, an NIH-funded multi-year, multi-site study wherein we partner with multiple clinics in Illinois to implement a clinical decision support tool in clinicians electronic health records to assist them in determining best practices surrounding early peanut introduction. Overall, the iREACH study aims to (1) improve clinician adherence to early introduction of peanut guidelines, and (2) decrease the incidence of peanut allergy in children.

Over 1,500 infants will be enrolled from diverse pediatric practices in Chicago.
The successful candidate will join a mission-driven, collaborative research team within a dynamic research environment and will serve as co-manager for the CANDO study. The ideal candidate will have solid experience and a successful track record in both project and people management, including serving as a direct supervisor to entry-level as well as staff with many years of experience; a background in biology or other health-related field/major, superb customer service skills, excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a passion for using scientific research to find answers and improve lives.
