Join our dynamic, mission-driven, and highly collaborative team at the Center for Food Allergy and Asthma Research (CFAAR), a research center located in downtown Chicago that is part of the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM) at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.  We are committed to finding answers and shaping policies around food allergies and asthma, and we have made findings on the prevalence of pediatric and adult food allergy in the United States, characterized the economic impact of food allergy, and identified disparities in access to care and outcomes among food allergy and asthma patients. We are driven to use scientific research to reduce the burden of these diseases and improve health equity, develop, evaluate, and disseminate interventions and conduct work to inform local, national, and international health policy.

Full-Time Research Study Assistant – CANDO study 
We are seeking to hire two Research Study Assistants to support the Childhood Activities and Nutrition and Development Oversight (CAN DO) Study, a randomized control trial which aims to explore early infant introduction of peanut and other common food allergens (egg, wheat, cashew, and walnut) in the US and the impact of early introduction on food allergy development between ages 1-3. Over 1,500 infants will be enrolled from diverse pediatric practices in Chicago.

Part-Time Research Assistant – bilingual in Spanish 
$15.40/hr 
We are seeking a research assistant (RA) who can work 10-20 hrs/week helping us recruit Spanish-speakers to our research studies. Join our dynamic, mission-driven, and highly collaborative team at CFAAR, a research center based at Northwestern University and located on the downtown Chicago campus.  We are committed to finding answers and shaping policies around food allergies and asthma. 
  
Our research assistants:  
  • Assist in conducting phone and in-person recruitment of potential research participants 
  • Obtain informed consent from research participants 
  • Assist with email communication, appointment coordination, & data entry 
  • Participate in project meetings 
  • Have strong communication skills & interest in conducting research. Spanish speaking is strongly preferred.

Research Data Analyst Associate / REDCap Specialist  - Job ID 45202 
We are seeking to hire an experienced research data analyst associate to serve as a REDCap specialist supporting all CFAAR projects that utilize REDCap.  We’re looking for someone who has significant experience in REDCap including experience using direct data entry, survey capabilities, designer, skip logic, and survey queue logic; experience creating and guiding the creation of REDCap forms; experience using REDCap to generate custom reports; experience supporting PIs with REDCap data exports to SAS, SPSS, R, and Stata; as well as clinical research experience. The candidate should also have some experience with basic data analysis.  The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and can lead effectively across multiple levels within our organization.
