Thank you for your interest in being trained in the Mothers and Babies Course. Learn more about requirements and find resources below.
The Mothers and Babies Course (MB Course) training lasts one and a half days, and all staff and supervisors who will be implementing the MB Course should attend. If your agency works with a Mental Health Consultant, we will include the consultants in the training in order for them to provide ongoing supervision to home visitors implementing the MB Course. This training will provide a detailed overview of the MB Course and allow participants to practice leading some activities in the MB Course.
Supervision for the MB Course group intervention entails six weekly one-hour sessions (once before the group starts and then between each intervention session) conducted by phone or Skype. These supervision meetings are intended to debrief the most recently completed session and plan for the upcoming session.
Supervision for the MB Course 1-on-1 intervention entails biweekly 30 minute sessions for three to four months, conducted by phone or Skype. These supervision meetings are intended to debrief the most recently completed session and plan for the upcoming session, as providers work through the 15-session curriculum with their first few clients.
Research and Quality Assurance Considerations
