Pepper Scholar Application System Opens for 2021 Proposals
December 14, 2020. Northwestern’s Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center is now accepting proposals for research on aging pilot projects. Preference will be given to early-career investigators at the assistant professor level at Northwestern. However, applications from more senior investigators seeking to transition to aging research will be considered. Pepper Center Pilot Projects provide $100,000 over two years. While the mission of the Northwestern Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center is on managing multiple comorbidities in older adults, proposals related to other aspects of aging will be considered. Up to five awards will be made, with awards beginning 8/1/2021. More information
CAHRA Receives Funding to Launch New Pepper Center
August 3, 2020. Northwestern investigators, led by Drs. Michael Wolf and Jeffrey Linder, have been awarded a grant from the National Institute on Aging to establish an Older Americans Independence Center, joining a network of "Pepper Centers" across the US that investigate ways to maintain or restore independence in older adults. March 15, 2020. If you are enrolled in one of our research studies, you might have been asked to come in for an in-person interview. Until further notice, all in-person interviews are now cancelled. The research coordinator for your study will be reaching out to you to either conduct the interview over the phone or to let you know that we will reschedule once the coronavirus outbreak has been contained.
