Special Edition: Northwestern Medicine Mobilizes to Fight COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic accelerates in Illinois, the United States, and globally, Northwestern Medicine and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine faculty, staff, and trainees have mobilized in critical ways to treat patients, expand testing, educate healthcare providers, shift labs to COVID-19 research, identify, align and openly share resources and data, provide thought leadership and engage in communities in Illinois and beyond.

When the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic began to be felt by Chicago physicians and healthcare workers, Northwestern medical students helped out wherever they could, including making much-needed grocery runs and providing volunteer childcare for physicians on duty at local hospitals.
