Learning Strategies

Our curriculum features a mix of learning strategy mainstays, such as simulation technology and problem-based learning, and innovative new programs designed to introduce students to scholarly research and augment their classroom instruction with clinical experiences. • Education-Centered Medical Home
  Gives students early exposure to team-based medicine in an authentic outpatient environment.
• Student Research/ Area of Scholarly Concentration
  Offers students the opportunity to work with mentors to formulate a question, develop the research skills to answer it and produce a scholarly product.
• Problem-Based Learning
  Uses clinical cases to stimulate inquiry, critical thinking and knowledge application and integration.
• Synthesis & Application Modules
  Reviews key concepts and relates them to new ones and assess learning.
