Student Recusal Policy
Feinberg students in a position to be assessed, evaluated or mentored by an individual with whom they have a potential conflict of interest (personal or professional relationship, healthcare provider, etc.) may request an alternative arrangement from educational leadership (i.e., education deans, module/clerkship director). Students may also request an alternative writer for the Medical Student Peformance Evaluation (MSPE) if they perceive a potential conflict of interest.
In all cases student privacy will be preserved and there are no negative repercussions for reporting a conflict. Students are not required to divulge personal health information when reporting a potential conflict of interest.
