Recruiting Senior Administrative Leaders

Feinberg's internal and external search processes are intended to enhance the gender and racial/ethnic diversity of senior leadership positions. The search processes outlined on this page apply to the following positions:

  • Department chairs, vice chairs, and associate chairs
  • Division chiefs
  • Institute/center directors
  • Decanal positions

Note: Individuals serving in any of these roles on an interim basis do not need to be identified through a formal search process, but if the interim holder is selected as the permanent holder of the position, that should occur through a formal search process as outlined on this page.

Types of Searches

Senior administrative leaders may be recruited through external or internal searches, or a combination of the two.
