My laboratory examines the epidemology of and risk for heart failure. Our studies include population-based cohorts, large electronic health record data analysis, and -OMICS (epigenomics, genomics, and proteomics) to perform mechanistic studies to enhance risk prediction and identify novel therapeutic agents for prevention and treatment approaches. Clinical Focus<\/h3>
I see patients with a variety of cardiovascular diseases and to discuss preventive strategies prior to the development of cardiovascular diseases with a particular focus among young women. I am also interested in practicing precision or personalized medicine and am interested in how genetic testing can inform risk for patients who have a cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia, and vascular disorders (e.g. aortic aneurysm).\u00a0<\/div>
