Focus of Work

Academic Focus

My work focuses on early life epileptic encephalopathies, particularly infantile spasms and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. I am interested in identifying the molecular mechanisms underlying the epilepsy phenotype of infantile spasms and in using EEG to identify biomarkers that predict progression or help us monitor responsiveness to treatments. I hope to identify novel targets for the treatment of epileptic encephalopathies including infantile spasms and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

Clinical Focus

I am a pediatric epilepsy specialist. My focus is on the care of children with epileptic encephalopathies including infantile spasms and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
