Focus of Work

My research goal is to characterize how verbal and nonverbal representations are organized and integrated in the brain. In my laboratory, we are currently pursuing this goal via the application of behavioral/psycholinguistic testing in aphasic and non-aphasic populations, eye tracking, event-related potentials, and magnetic resonance imaging. A current major focus is the functionality of the anterior temporal lobes, which seem to play a critical role in both verbal and object knowledge.
