Susan E Yount, PhD
Focus of Work
Dr. Yount received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a specialty in Health Psychology, in 1995 from the University of Miami. She completed a clinical internship in health psychology at the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Department of Psychology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She joined the Department of Medical Social Sciences, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in May 2009.
Dr. Yount is a health outcomes researcher with interests in the development, validation and application of patient-reported outcomes measures (such as health-related quality of life, symptoms, and health status). In particular, she is interested in applying patient-reported outcomes measures to improving the clinical care, health status and quality of life of individuals with chronic conditions.
Dr. Yount is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in a range of health and medical conditions, with a special focus on oncology.
