Affinity Groups
Many of the nearly 70 student groups, as well as many faculty and staff groups at Feinberg, focus on identity, community, diversity, and mentoring and healthcare in underserved communities. Groups include:
- American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA)
Supporting the advancement of women in medicine as well as improving women’s health education - Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA)
Promoting awareness and advocacy of issues affecting the Asian and Asian Pacific American community - Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA)
Focuses on providing a supportive and educative environment for Latino medical students and educating the community about Latino health issues - Muslim Student Association

Campus- and affiliate-wide networking group for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) identified individuals and allies - Queers & Allies (Q&A)
Promoting the acceptance of LGBT students, faculty, and staff through education and discussion of LGBT issues and rights - Student National Medical Association (SNMA)
Supporting current and future underrepresented minority medical students and addressing the needs of underserved communities - Camp Wildcat
Providing underprivileged, at-risk Chicago children with opportunities to participate in positive recreational activities - Chicago Youth Programs (CYP)
Offering students an opportunity to participate in a weekly clinic or mentor to youths, ages 3-18, from Cabrini Green, Washington Park, and the Uptown communities - Action for Young Athletes in Chicago (AFYAC)
Supporting athletes in the Chicago Public Schools through pre-season physicals, education about nutrition and sports-injury prevention, and mentoring - Women Faculty Organization
Supporting women in science and medicine - Association of Northwestern University Women (ANUW)
Encouraging and supporting all women in administration at Northwestern University interested in professional development
