Emma Reynolds Circle

In 1895, Dr. Emma Ann Reynolds became the first African American woman to graduate from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In honor of her legacy, the Emma Reynolds Circle was formed to create a sense of community for African American female students, residents, fellows and physicians at Feinberg. Current initiatives include recruitment and retention efforts for African American female students and trainees, fostering mentorship relationships, and community building through social events.
