The top-level pages of the Feinberg School's Web site are developed and maintained by the Offices of Management Information Systems (MIS) and Publications and Public Relations. Staff members from these offices form the core of the Web Team, which meets monthly to guide development of the site. A representative of the Galter Health Sciences Library also serves on the Web Team.
The Web Team was instrumental in the Feinberg School purchasing a content management system (CMS) in 2004. Conversion of the top-level pages to the CMS is under way. School units may use the CMS at no charge. The MIS and Publications staff will help school units learn to use the CMS for developing and maintaining their Web sites.
For CMS training and authorization, contact Don James, Web technician in MIS, at d-james2@northwestern.edu. To achieve consistency throughout the Feinberg site, templates are offered for department/program sites.
For assistance with content development/review and Web policy/procedures questions, send an e-mail to med-webteam@northwestern.edu or call the Publications Office at 312/503-8618. During Web site review, the Publications and PR staff checks for the basics (such as grammar, punctuation, and spelling) as well as for accuracy and consistency throughout your site, appropriate design, and navigation ease. The Web Style Guidelines
