The Comprehensive Transplant Center (CTC) is pleased to announce the Dr. Mark Pescovitz Memorial Grant Program. Funding is available for preliminary research projects likely to lead to extramural funding for CTC investigators. Projects must be related to adult or pediatric organ or cell transplantation. Up to $15,000 in costs will be awarded, divided among two or three awards. Funds may be used for supplies, reagents, staff, and similar expenses. Investigator salary, travel, and indirect costs will not be allowed under this mechanism. In addition, an amount of services equal in value to the awarded direct costs will be made available from any CTC core (e.g. immune monitoring, biostatistics, microsurgery, bioinformatics, clinical research support, etc.). We are pleased to announce that due to the large number of excellent proposals submitted, we have given four Pilot Grant awards.
