Feinberg School of Medicine has a competitive financial aid program that includes need-based grants and federal and institution funded loan programs. A number of merit scholarship awards are also available.  There is no separate application for scholarship and grant awards.  These awards are distributed over four years therefore they are only awarded to incoming students.  Entering students who wish to be considered for grants and/or receive loans are advised to submit their financial aid application materials no later than March 14, 2008.  Returning students should return all completed application materials no later than April 2, 2008. To be considered, accepted students must complete the required application materials including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Award notices that include all financial aid eligibility will be sent to entering students prior to May 15, 2008, assuming they have completed their financial aid application materials no later than the March 14, 2008 priority deadline.  Returning students will receive their award notices on a rolling basis starting June 2, 2008. All medical school applicants invited for interview may apply for assistance; however, individual award notices are generated only for accepted students. Notice of aid awards usually begins in April, assuming the student has met the application submission deadline.
