In addition to the Northwestern University Wildcard, each medical student is issued a Northwestern Memorial Hospital Identification badge at the beginning of each scheduled year. Students are required to exchange their expired ID badge in order to receive a valid ID badge for the current year. If the badge is lost a $25 fee is required to obtain a new one. These badges provide each medical student with identification throughout the University and hospital and access to the doors within Northwestern Memorial Hospital. M3 and M4 students are the primary users of the badges for door access in the hospital.
Medical students should display their ID badge on their white coat at all times for identification.
