The "Match" refers to the process by which the students and the program directors rank lists that are overlapped, resulting in the selection of students for residency positions. Most students and other applicants secure positions through a "matching program." The following organizations coordinate residency matches: You will need to register with the NRMP for the main match by using your AAMC ID and password by visiting their Web site at http://www.nrmp.org. Registration is and Applicant Use guide will be available on August 15. The deadline for registering for the NRMP is December 1, 2006. You may register after this deadline by paying an additional $50. Students can register and withdraw from the NRMP up until February 23, 2007.
