Description: Vanderbilt University's Diabetes Center invites applications for the summer Medical Student Research Training Program. Participants in this program gain an improved understanding of research and career opportunities in biomedical research by conducting independent diabetes-related research under the direction of an established scientist.(Prior research experience not required). This program is funded by the National Institutes of Health. Eligibility: Open to medical students between their 1st and 2nd years or second and 3rd year. Student must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident.
